Mare Nostrum was born in Montpellier, in the heart of the south of France, under the direction of Lisa Dubois, the creator. This women's swimwear brand doesn't just beautify, it celebrates the diversity of female body shapes. Inspired by high-cut and colorful designs, Mare Nostrum defends the idea that every woman has the right to reveal or not her body, as she wishes, and above all, to chart her own path in life. Why MARE NOSTRUM?

To pay homage to the Latin roots of France and Spain, the two origins of our creator, Mare Nostrum was chosen as the name. Meaning "Our sea" in Latin, it evokes the Mediterranean Sea, which borders the lands of Montpellier, where our brand was born. This choice also reflects our commitment to protecting the environment: our swimsuits are made from recycled materials, thus embodying our desire to preserve our seas and oceans.
